No one said life would be wonderful
That it would be filled with so much promise
And love
No one tells you that you will have your heart broken countless times
Before you meet your prince
And even still that prince has the ability to shatter and replace you
Or bring you to your knees with such force because of the pain that was inflicted upon you

No one tells you that life has a ton of bumps along the way until you have already tripped
No one tells you that the pain never goes away
No one tells you that heartache is worse than a toothache
Life is filled with so many empty promises
Lost dreams and missed fortunes
Small blessings rise to the surface
Only to be forgotten within a second
But life is hard
Life is the toughest road traveled
Yet we continue to drive on this path in search of happiness
In search of an easier way
In search of those dreams
